If you follow Blue Ox Timber Frames on Twitter and Instagram (who am I kidding, of course you do!) you have seen pictures of our most recent project. We are working on a timber frame home near the St. Croix River.

The posts on the first trusses for this house are so long they extended out the shop door

The timbers are rough sawn Douglas Fir, lightly planed and finished with a wire brush.

Laid out and ready to go.

Scissor trusses create more interior ceiling space in addition to looking great.

Three of the four trusses are up. Almost done!

After the trusses were raised, the cupolas and then the tongue and groove were installed.

This picture makes me a little dizzy.

After the tongue and groove was finished, it was wrapped to avoid damage until the Enercept panels could be installed.

The first part of the house is up!

We will have more progress reports from this project all summer. Stay tuned!
